The Iraq War...the Afghanistan War...The WAR.......!!
Every War at some stage will turn Sour
Losing our innocent soldiers each hour
For whom? For what?
Just who are we protecting?
Are the protected ones on our side
OR
Without reason our brave soldiers have died.
Who is the enemy?
Where is it?
Till when will this last?
The politicians say that we will be out of the "zone" very fast
Here is a tribute to the Fallen heroes, an attempt to remember each of them
To acknowledge that they have not departed in vain;
To express our gracious sentiments and evince solidarity with their near & dear ones -
the brave soldiers: our daughters and sons,
We care for Humanity and Democracy...
as this is what we are trying to protect
It is not about a race, any religion or a sect......
but the cause and reason one should surely dissect and each one us should introspect.
From every citizen:
I salute you O' fallen Hero who has stood for humanity and democracy
To protect our borders, future infiltration and terrorist attacks
To make this world a peaceful place
To ensure that future generations are better and safe.
You have paid with your life
-the greatest sacrifice that one can ever do
I bow to you and salute your family
For giving their loved one away.
Let us build a War Memorial
where your names are etched in gold
Each name written very bold
Shakespeare did say, "What is in a Name?"
But in what other way can we remember you?
To salute the things that you do
Let us be given an opportunity to come and pray
To think and feel the words we cannot say
Let us honour the ones who have left
And also honour the ones who serve us.
They are the ones who have put their life at stake
AND JUST FOR "OUR SAKE."
