We have a problem in the US right now. It seems that many folks who are not of means or wealth find those that are to be less-than-ethical or the balance between rich and poor as unfair. That's too bad really because there are endless numbers of good for nothing loafers who do not care to put in a good days work and would like to skate by on the public dole, worse they don't even pay much in taxes if at all. I suppose it is easy to complain, and I guess that misery loves company and there are bound to be folks who will join them in solidarity. Okay so, let's talk shall we?
So, why do so many poor people so despise rich people anyway? Have you ever wondered why? I have and ultimately I've come to the conclusion that it is a lot about envy, anger, and the need to blame others. Think about it, why do poor people hate rich people in greater numbers than ever before in the USA? It's simple really, because the Democrat socialist leadership and left-leaning media told them too.
There was an interesting article on MSNBC recently titled; Millionaires are raking in unemployment benefits - The very rich pocketed almost $30 million in jobless payments in 2010, a jump of 44% from only a year earlier," by Aimee Picchi. Apparently, many people feel that rich people ought to be means tested for the benefits they receive even though they have paid in just like everyone else, most of them obviously earn a higher salary, so they get greater benefits. Of course, if the system is collapsing, and people's benefits run out, all of a sudden they want to take the benefits from the rich and give to the poor - calling that fair. But it's not, it is unfair.
Still, the poor say; "but the rich don't need the money," and yes, maybe they don't, but our government made them pay in for the potential eventuality they might take some out some day, now that it's their turn, all of a sudden it's not right? How so, I ask? Fair is fair, everyone playing by the same rules. But if we alter those rules to favor the poor over the rich, we remove the incentive for the wealthy to provide all the goods and services they do now. In that case they will be less inclined. Fewer people producing means fewer goods and more shortages.
More shortages mean we will all have higher prices, and thus, the poor's money won't go as far, thus, they will be poorer, which is what is happening now, not only here in the US but around the world. When the poor find they have less and less due to the higher costs they will demand more and more, until the governments that promised them all that stuff run out of other people's money to spend. Trust me when I tell you that socialism doesn't work and Margaret Thatcher was correct.
